Research-Based Physiology - HELP?

Hi all,
I'm starting my second year of the Bachelor of Science. I have a place in 1st semester Research-Based Physiology but I am wondering is it possible to do this subject without having done any physiology? Should  I do both research and human physiology co-currently? HELP :) Please :)

You sure can. Actually I'd personally recommend it hearing about experiences, because the subjects overlap a fair bit. You might have to do some pre-reading originally as research-based is ahead of physiology, but then eventually physiology catches up. But it makes studying for it easier since you the subjects do overlap.

Yes, I would recommend doing it concurrently with Human Physiology if you want a light workload during the exam period. Because Human Physiology completely overlapped with Research Based Physiology. But then again I did Research Semester 1 2011. Alot of my friends who did it 2nd semester thought that there was considerable change  in the structure and the type of questions asked. But I'm sure you'd be fine.

Research doesn't require much Physiology background to do the subject. Alot of the background knowledge can be acquired through the set pre-readings (there isn't too much) as Jas said.

For us in semester 2, the exam didn't have the long extended experimental design question that was there in semester 1, it instead had four short answer questions that were to do different parts of experimental design (as opposed to one question about one experiment). There were also 20 MC questions as opposed to 8 in semester 1, but again, of the MC questions, half covered experimental design. The SA questions that were around in semester 1, testing more physiological concepts wasn't really there in semester 2. Overall, even without the extended response, I think the semester 2 exam tested more about the experimental design part of the subject, as opposed to the physiology concepts side.

Exam format for semester 1 - 8 MC, 3 SA, 1 extended response
Exam format for semester 2 - 20 MC, 4 SA.

Whether they change it again, I don't know. But either way you'll be fine as long as you keep up.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could tell  me what date the research based physiology exam was on last year?
If you know the date of the human physiology exam as well, that would be helpful.
Cheers

The exam timetable changes every semester/every year. Why do you want to know?
