I believe i quite possibly may have failed the 80% attendance rate by 1 or 2 seminars- probably have a rate of around 76% at the moment. Is the uni uber strict on this? If yes, is there any way to make it up?

Yes they are strict. Sometimes subjects explicitly specify everywhere that it's a hurdle and if you don't do it then you fail with an NH grade. Some subjects like psychology subjects state in the handbook that they will award a Pass (it might just even be a 50 to get you over, they don't really specify). I would get in contact with them ASAP to see if they can give you extra assessment. If you leave it too late, they may be less inclined and it is easier for them to just to fail you.
