Hi guys,
It's my first time on ATARnotes forum, so I'm not sure if this is going in the correct place. If it isn't, please move it or let me know if I need to do it

I have to write an essay for the Premier's Spirit of ANZAC competition and I'm unsure of a number of things. Before I start, I want to let you know that I am not asking for direct answers or anything but rather some critique on the topic sentences I have chosen to include, if that's alright?
The topic is:
To what extent is the Anzac spirit relevant to life in Australia today? What can it teach us about the Australia we want for the future? I have already written on this topic for the same essay competition last year and I wasn't successful
Some of the points I mentioned last time were:
1) Background info about the Anzac's, in my introduction.
2) Anecdotal evidence of Australians at the time, in my second paragraph
3) How people were resilient and "bounced back" at times of hardship (then and now), in my third and fourth paragraph.
4) Success stories of many Australians (Moira Kelly, Sir John Monash) in my fifth paragraph.
5) How the Anzac spirit can be seen in every Australian and New Zealander and how the spirit itself will never be forgotten in my conclusion.
I still feel that the way I tackled the essay question well last year. I also believe that the points I mentioned were relevant and fit together well. However I am most concerned about the lack of content and relative deepness that they lacked. Can you please explain the best way to analyse anecdotal evidence and make the most of it to convey the message? If you know any evidence I could mention can you let me know of that too? I really don't want to leave any stone left unturned and make the best out of this attempt.
Thanks, in advance.
