Preparing essays

I got 10 out of 10 on my text response essay;is it worth memorising my essay and using parts of my essay for the exam?I know the topic will be different;however,it probably will have some similarities.I am asking this question because in Exam assessment reports the chief examiner discourages prepared responses.
