Hey guys!
I can't choose between TSFX or Connect Education.. Any recommendations?
Would it be a waste of money and time to go to both?

Thanks [:

TSFX is a waste. Go to Connect.

Ian was a pretty good lecturer for TSFX Bio, not sure if he's still around though.

He's still around but I was so fried by the time he started lecturing (like 4 hours in) that I didn't really pick up much.

LOL I remember that 7 hour lecture... I think by the time he started about Cloning, I was ready to fall asleep! Lol!

But TSFX is legend! Great notes!

Not sure if you've made a final call yet, but if not, can I also suggest looking into the Biology revision workshops that we're running at One Step Education. Winston and Dinesh are two of the smartest biology students I know, and both of them have been running revision lectures and workshops since they were in Year 12 themselves, so they're absolutely fantastic presenters as well.

The other thing is that because the sessions are being run as workshops rather than lectures, it'll be completely tailored to the needs of the students on the day. Our Biology workshop is actually the very smallest - we've capped attendance numbers at 20 - and this is specifically because Biology is one of the broadest VCE subjects in terms of content, so we thought it was particularly important to each student would have a good chance to ask questions and have any concerns they might have resolved.

You'll also get a copy of Winston's very own study notes to take away - and these aren't just the Powerpoint slides, they're his actual notes, so they're incredible useful for any study you'll do between now and the exam.

Each Unit of Study will go for 3 hours (and just $25) or you can book the full subject package (which is just $35 for 6 hours of top quality revision) so it's absolutely incredible value for money - the only reason our workshops are so cheap is because this is our first year in operation so we've had to price aggressively to compete with all the established organisations, so it's a huge boon for you guys as students!

If you'd like to find out more about us, our tutor or our workshops, you can visit the One Step website here and our workshops microsite here, which also includes detailed profiles of the tutors running our workshops.

P.S. I'm new to ATARnotes, so I'm not sure if it's rude to be plugging workshops I'm involved with around the forum :) If so, sorry to Connect and TSFX!

Can concur, Winston is a freak in Biology even at university.

This is commercial spam and will be deleted in future, but I'll leave this one up because it's your first time and you were nice enough to ask about it. Your other post announcing your lecture series is fine. Just don't go replying to every available thread with the same spiel. You can include links to your tutoring business in your signature and then posts you make with relevant advice/input on the forums will be walking advertisements for your business. This is what many education entities do on this website with great success.
