Hey everyone!

I was just wondering whether you can be offered a scholarship from a uni that's not your first preference? Thank you :)

You can be offered a scholarship for a course form anywhere on your preference list, they don't know where on your list you have them placed. (e.g. you can be offered one for your 12th preference in some situations). But to actually get the scholarship it will normally be conditional on you accepting the relevant course (or for some, it will be conditional on you accepting a course at that uni, just depends on what scholarship).

EDIT: I should add, you could be offered multiple scholarships from different unis, but as said above, they have conditions. So you could be offered one, say at Monash for course X, but accept/choose course Y in which you don't get the scholarship. You could also be offered scholarships for course Y and a scholarship for, lets say Vice Chancellors access scholarship, in which you can accept both.
