I am not gutted or regretful with my results but then again I feel as though I learned nothing you know?

I'm sorry, I'd be lying if I said I understood. =/

However, I'm guessing your a bit disheartened by not doing 2 subjects in year 11 as well?

Definately. I would have liked to do biol or maybe chem in year 11, and done Uni Maths/Uni Chem, something else so there is less pressure this year (Can completely bomb out on a subject :) )

Anyone who's tossing up between Spesh or Further should always take Spesh. It's more rewarding and interesting.

Yoyto
Choose spesh
Your only year twelve once
Don't be one of those oh I got to get this score... To get into...
Be one of those people who are daring and enjoy the journey that is year 12.
Although further is difficult for some it can be bland for others especially if your math/science type.
Enjoy your education don't waste a year learning to count, spend a year learning to math.
Final words; if you enjoy further do further, if  you enjoy spesh do spesh but don't choose a subject on scaling or difficulty.
2012: Biology [below expectations]
2013: English [below expectations], Chemistry [results pending way under expectations], Methods [below expectations-but happy], specialist [happy], physics [happy]

I was in the same situation, and I'm glad I chose to do spesh. spesh isn't really that difficult, to get a mid 30s score, you just need to put in the work. It is comparable to methods, or for someone like me, I liked it more than methods. I just screwed up my tech-free exam, did okay on the tech exam and ended up with a 33, but it scaled to like 45. I don't think I would've got 45 raw in further, so it was the best decision made.
2011: Methods [40]  Chemistry [34]
2012: Global Politics [44] Specialist Maths [33] Physics [35] English [38]
ATAR: 97.10

2013-2015: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Neuroscience)  UoM
2017-2020: Doctor of Optometry UoM

If you're competent, I'd suggest Specialist. This is why. Further Maths exams are becoming progressively more difficult over the years. Some exams *coughs - 2013 exam 1* are ridiculous, and losing about 5-6 marks can be very easily done. Thus, screwing up a Further exam really screws you over.

Specialist- if you're good at Math, a 30 in spesh = 40. A 40 in Further would scale to a 37 in Further. I obviously cannot change the past, but I SO regret doing Further. Worst subject ~ its just becoming ridiculous. Well, my opinion anyway.

Specialist ~ cannot wait for Specialist next year actually :D

I want to do engineering when I finish school
Do specialist. Unless you want to basically cover it in 12 weeks the next year...

Do both. Even though i love science, i would substitute biology for further any day. Even if its your 5th or 6th, its easier to get a 40 in than most subjects(sorry for the generalization). But if you have to pick one, then pick Spesh, it's alot more engaging.
If you have the choice to, then definitely do both.
