Problem with CAS

Hi guys,
When I try to derive a function such as 5x(6480-5x^2)/14 on the calculator it comes up with: Error - Invalied implied multiply.

Anytime I try to derive a function with x^ of anything this happens... any ideas?

You may need a multiplication symbol (*) between the x and the open bracket?

Can you differentiate using a different variable?

For example if differentiate(5x*(6480-5x^2)/14,x) gives the error, does differentiate(5y*(6480-5y^2)/14,y) do the same?

Not having the multiply is the only thing that can cause the error you are getting, as Phy124 says.

Add in * everywhere until it works.

First one works, second one will fail.

I was getting the same error on the same question and I didn't know why it was happening :/
I just expanded the top and then too the derivative with the CAS and it worked which is weird.
