So my teacher today told us that there are sections of the book that are not on the current study design:
UNIT 3
AOS 1
            - Application of Brain Research Methods (237 – 261)
            - Rene Descartes (97 – 99)
            - William James (100)
            - Perceptual anomalies (225 – 235)
AOS 2
            - Kandell’s research (within 335 and 336)
            - Peg-word method (404 – 405) and method of loci (406 – 407)

UNIT 4
(ALL AOS 2)
            - One-trial learning (506 – 507)
            - Insight learning (523 – 527)
            - Latent learning (527 – 529)
            - Thorndike’s puzzle box (477 – 478)
           - General Adaptation Model (588 – 592)
           - Anxiety disorder: Phobia (630 – 673)

Has anyone else been told the same thing?

I haven't read the Grivas textbook, but I can confirm that all that stuff is out of the study design EXCEPT thorndike's puzzle box and anxiety disorder-phobia. Also the application of brain research methods is not very likely to be examined but it is likely to fall under the research methods area of study so is therefore still a subsection of that area of the study design :)
