SAC 1: 85%
SAC 2: 90%
SAC 3: 100%
SAT/FOLIO/PRODUCT: 97%

let's say I get.. 85%+ on the exam, what sort of study score would i be looking at?
i'm ranked 1st in the class with a fairly weak cohort..

EDIT: Sacs count for 15%, SAT/FOLIO counts for 40% and EXAM counts for 45%

According to the 2010/2011/2012 grade distributions, you're looking at a ~40 study score. Don't listen to any precise predictions as it will vary. 85% was the 40ss cutoff last year, while it was ~80% in 2010 and 2011. You're looking at around 40 ss.

85% was the A+ cut off, not the 40 ss cut off. Your study score isn't purely what you get on the exam although it plays the most important part. We had someone in our class that got a B in the exam (73%) and got a study score of 42.

Yes but you're rank 1 so only the exam score will only be relevant when determining your ss, unless someone ranked lower than you gets a higher exam score than you and boosts your score. The A+ cutoff for Media was the top 8%, which is in the 40 ss range. The top 9% of students get a study score of 40 or above.

As for that other student, that's very uncommon though. The only case I can think of is that he was rank 1 and he screwed the exam while someone else carried him.

I don't know why you'd be asking for predictions if you know so much already though?

When people say that others in your cohort can drag your score down, is that class group or the whole state? I got A, A+, and A and was very disappointed with my study score for Media this year...

Congrats. Nope, rank 1 unaffected. A+ A+ A+ can range from 38-50

Your class rankings can affect your score.
The state does too because it depends on how others go in the state.
