How do you find your scaled up study score?

Hi everyone,

So I took my first VCE 3/4 subject this year and I'm just wondering how you find out your scaled study score since vcaa only provides you with your raw score?

Since I took a small study this year, I could easily tell from the 2013 scaling report what my scaled up score was but for future reference, how would you be able to tell with mainstream studies such as Methods, English etc? I know that they're on the scaling report as well, but what if you got a score such a 43, that was inbetween the 2 columns? Is it true that you wouldn't know for sure until your Year 12 results, or is there a way to find out beforehand?

You won't get your scaled score until you receive your ATAR in Year 12.

You can estimate your scaled study score using the ATAR Calculator. You can also ask those in the year above you who have received their ATARs and who got the same study score as you in the same subject.

Another question on your SS. I got a ss of 38 for biology, according to the scaling report it would scale up to 39. I this what I'll get this year? What if the scaling report changes this year? Will it apply to me even though I did biology last year?

you are scaled against the cohort you did the subject with (ie. if you did it this year, it goes by this year's scaling)
