International Studies - How on earth do you score well?

What has been covered so far? I'm doing international this year and although im doing well, everyone in our school agrees that the coarse is nearly impossible to do well in, because we feel that we will be screwed for the exam.
How do we know if we are on track or not?
And also, what other resources apart from the newspaper would you recommend?
2007:
Legal Studies [33] (31.73)

2008:
English [39] (38.30)
Economics [40] (41.86)
International Studies [30] (32.05)
Further Mathematics [33] (30.61)

ENTER: 82.35

2009: Business @ Monash.
Accounting/Finance @ LaTrobe.

Well, I'd recommend: (Although you may already be using these)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/ (British newspaper: lots of resources online. Has good articles on international issues.)

The 7.30 report (ABC, 7.30pm Monday-Thurs)

stateline (7.30pm, Friday, ABC)

Lateline (ABC, 10.30 pm)

Dateline on Wednesdays at 8.30 pm (SBS)

Foreign Correspondent (Tuesdays, ABC, 9.20)

Four Corners (ABC, 8.30 mondays)

http://www.aiiavic.org.au/resources.php AIIA Victoria (it provides seminars for VCE students studying international politics)

http://www.lowyinstitute.org/ (some interesting publications)

http://www.sev.asn.au/site/index.html (Social Education Victoria: This is a site your teacher will use. Provides resources for teaching international studies, and also conducts seminars for VCE students studying politics/international studies)

http://www.feer.com/ (Far eastern economic review: great articles on world issues. Some articles may cost, however.)

http://www.economist.com (The economist: great country profiles and articles. However some content costs money.)

http://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/ (Department of foreign affairs and trade: country profiles)

http://www.nytimes.com (New York Times: everything's free, however you have to register as a subscriber)

The Times Magazine

http://www.abc.net.au/global/

http://www.wn.com/ (world news)

http://library.scotch.vic.edu.au/resources/vce/intstudy.htm (international studies links)

http://internationalism.wordpress.com/2008/06/03/power-lesson-2-national-interest/ (a blog with resources and links for international studies/politics students.)

Hope it helps. :)

there are no study guides but there are lectures.

i went to a lecture last year, it was super helpful and it had awesome notes.
i might be exaggerating but i felt like i learnt more in that lecture than i did in a whole year doing I.S! LOL
i'm not sure which company the lecture was with, but it was in this place near Melbourne Central.
