Methods vs spesh

Hey guys. I did methods last year (44) and was really interested in how people go in spesh compared to methods in terms of raw study scores. Like on average would people get like 4 lower Etc. If people have done both can they say what they got for each so I get an idea. I have no idea what to expect that I'll get in spesh.

I honestly don't think you can look at the subjects in this way. I don't see why you should look back on your last years performance to try predict a study score but rather you should focus more on trying your best this year.

If I were to generalise, people do better in the easier maths. For me I got 49 raw in Further, 45 raw in methods and 42 raw in specialist. However I wouldn't say this is the case for everyone. Some people may have been tutored the niche topics in specialist better than the niche topics in methods.

some people say take 3-4 study scores away from your methods mark... but it's never accurate. it really depends how hard you work. i have a friend who got a 45 in methods and a 40 in spesh, while others actually got better spesh scores! just try your best, and it won't even matter. there is no possible way to accurately determine your spesh score from your methods mark.

All depends on the person. A lot of people actually find methods more of a challenge. One of my friends got a 45 in Spesh and a 41 in Methods, so the reverse of what you spoke about! Completed all three maths in his final year.
