I'm up the the subject enrolment stage and I'm trying to work out what to do but I'm clueless. Can someone offer some pointers please. Also what subjects do I choose for a civil engineering major?

to do engineering, for first year you'll need to take calc1(if you didn't do spesh), calc2 and linalg as well as esd2. If youre planning on doing civil, you probably want to take physics1 and physics2 as science electives and then two breadths.
whatever you do, don't take esd1. you'll thank me later.

for the enrollment, start putting your first year subjects under "science level 1". If you run out of space, start filling "science level 1, 2 & 3". Put breadths in the breadths section. If you take a level 2/3 breadth, put it under "breadths level 2-3". If not, put them under "breaths level 1-3"

Take this advice. :P

To add to the above, if you need to do 8 L1 sciences, you'll need to contact the Science Student Centre to get science subjects added into the Breadth/Science bucket.

Thanks for the replies so far. So do I only need to add subjects in the "science level 1 section?" I tried adding calc 1 but it said I cant enrol because I didnt get a 25 in methods... but I got higher than 25... WTF.

Do I have to do breadth subjects? How many subjects can I choose? Are there any subjects that are compulsory for a civil engineering major?

yes you do. you need to do between 4-6 breadths in total over your bachelor of science. It doesn't matter at all when you do them though.

pretty sure at first year, the prerequisites you need for civil are just calc2, linalg and esd2. (but i may be wrong, best to check the handbook, you can find prerequisites for everything there). obviously calc1 is a prerequisite for calc2 though.

As for not letting you enroll in calc1, that's hilarious since you need >25 in methods to get into science. Just give it a bit of time, I'm sure admin will fix the issue in a couple of days/when they get enough complaints. There's not really any advantage in enrolling in everything right now anyways.

Again, check the handbook, but I'm pretty sure Physics would be part of the deal for Civi aspirees.
