Any suggestions for science subjects to fit in my 2014 study plan?

Summer
Principles of Marketing

Sem 1
Human Physiology
Biological Psych
??
German 3

Sem 2
Principles of Human Structure
Cognitive Psych
??

I'm thinking Fundamentals of Cell Biology in semester 1 but am not sure how much I'll love it...and as for semester 2, not many subjects have caught my eye. Any recommendations will be appreciated!!

Hey, you're doing German 3 too :)
People I've asked have said cell bio is really good, and there is a review by a forum user in the Subject Reviews thread? If you like physiology you could do Research-Based Phys or Comparative Animal Phys in second semester?
VCE: Chemistry | Biology (2011) | English (2011) | Environmental Science | Mathematical Methods CAS

2013-2015: BSc [Zoology] @ UoM | DLang [German - DISCONTINUED]
2016: GDSc [Botany] @ UoM
2017-2018: MSc [Biosciences - Zoology] @ UoM

Summer: BOTA30006

S1: BOTA20001 | EVSC20004 | BOTA30003 | BIOL90001

S2: GEOG20009 | BOTA30002 | BOTA30005 | EVSC20003 | NRMT90002

Subject and major reviews incoming :)

What are you planning to major in? When I was not sure what subjects to take in second year I picked a few majors I was considering and worked backwards, that is, first, pick the third year subjects you would like to do and then make a list of the pre-reqs that are required for each subject.

If you still have spaces left, then try subjects that might be related to the major you want to do e.g. I wanted to major in Neuroscience in second year and one of the subjects that caught my eye was 'Cell Signalling and Neurochemistry' (a third year subject that is part of the major) and so I did Fundamentals of Cell Biology in second year even though it wasn't a pre-req, because it covered basic cell signalling. This helped me decide if I wanted to do the third year subject.

Yep, German is the only subject I'm sure about sometimes haha. :)
Comparative Animal Phys doesn't look too bad but I feel like I don't want to study all that for one semester if I don't plan on pursuing any zoology next year, you know what I mean?

@pink0829 I plan to major in Neuroscience also. That's why I'm leaning towards fundamentals of cell biology atm, I assume it has the underlying knowledge for the third year neuroscience subjects.. :)

Fundamentals is really good for an overview in cell signalling/replication control/protein sorting, and it's coordinated well so it's not too difficult to get good results.
I agree with pink0829, just make sure you take all the prereqs you need. Or you can find another major you enjoy and just work back from there. I've added some zoology subjects into my cell biology degree because I want to do postgrad vet science, but for a neuro major a pharmacology or biochemistry subject may compliment your other subjects well :) PHRM20001 could be a good sem 2 choice.
2011: VCE
2012-2014: BSc (Cell and Developmental Biology) - Animal Cell Biology specialisation
2015-2016: Masters in Laboratory Medicine

I'm glad I did cell bio last year. And half of the lecturers (2 of 4) were from the Neuroscience dept. Yea, it covers a few basic concepts like signal transduction which comes up a lot in neuroscience according to the lecturers I asked. And cell bio is not very hard in terms of assessment and two lectures per week ;)

And if you are looking for a subject for second sem, take a look at pharmacology: How drugs work. It's a pre-req for the subject 'drugs affecting the nervous system'. Apparently it's really interesting and a few people I know regret not doing pharm in second year. There are some really good reviews for pharmacology.

Edit: What spalvains said.

Thanks for both your inputs! You've made me more confident in going for cell bio in the first place
As for PHRM20001, I can't, I haven't done any first year chem subjects :/
