How should I prepare for my eei , my cohort performed the experiment on an energy drink , we performed back titration, gravimetric analysis and spectroscopy.

Part A- Gravimetric analysis
In this practical you will investigate the sugar content of your energy drink by analysing the mass of a precipitate made.

Part B-Back Titration
In this practical you will analyse the amount of citric acid in a typical energy drink. Citric acid is a weak acid and the endpoint of a direct titration with a base is difficult to detect. For this reason you will analyse it using a back titration in order to find the concentration of this acid in your energy drink.

Part C-Spectroscopy
In this analysis you will be determining the concentration of the colouring 150 (caramel) of your energy drink via UV-Vis spectroscopy.
