Just a quick question, if im correct it is your rank that matters and not your sac scores?

im currently rank 1 for one of my subjects and i was wondering disregarding exam are rank 1s across the state right now treated the same? So at one school rank 1 is 60/100 and at another 90/100 are they both 100/100 before moderation?

also both being rank 1, if they got the identical exam score would that mean exact same study score?

and finally if you get 100/100 can VCAA moderate this down?

thanks

From my understanding:

1) Yes
2) Ummmm no I don't think so, I think you are given the raw score to VCAA by your teachers and after the exam once VCAA has looked and analysed you and your cohorts exam performance relative to teh state and the SACs, you will get adjusted accordingly.
3) Yes.
4) Yes - esp if you do shit on the exam.

The general rule of thumb to maximise your grading due to SAC scores is to have a strong cohort, but be the best of the cohort at the same time.
Methods 46, Music Performance 49 (Top Acts), Chemistry 50, English 43, Physics 45, Specialist 48, University Maths 93%

ATAR: 99.80 (ASP)

2014-2016: BSc (Chemistry) UoM

2017-2018: MSc (Chemistry) UoM

Stuff I've written:
Free VCE Chemistry Trial Exam (2017)

VCE Chemistry Revision Questions (2017)

PM me if you are looking for a 1/2 or 3/4 VCE Chemistry tutor in 2018. I can also do other subjects including Methods, Specialist and Physics depending on availability.
