NOSSAL INTERVIEW HALP?

Recently I got an interview for Nossal high School~~~
Anyone know what questions they might ask and any good ways to answer them? Im terrible

- How would your teachers describe you? (huehue dis gunnna be herd)

Apart from those "how would you describe yourself" questions, they (the principal and the assistant principal in my case) asked really casual things like "what do you do for fun" and "what do you read" - they put me off a little
Don't stress over it - the worst thing to them is probably someone who looks really nervous and anxious so just answer honestly and you'll be fine

Ask yourself:
1. What am I bringing to this school? (Leader, academic excellence, athlete etc)
2. What will the school give me and what differs from my old school? (Co-Curricular options, environment, subjects etc)
3. What makes you unique as a person?
 
Just be honest with yourself.

Sometimes they can trick you...they may ask: What do you like to do on the computer? And you might say, homework and researching. They already know that you are not an honest student because what teenager goes on the computer and never plays games or social networking?? lol, so be careful in that area. A better answer to that question would be..I do homework/research and once completed, I might play a bit of games or social networking. Also, try to talk a lot!! Dont be a chatterbox and be repetitive (because that is boring), show off yourself (but not too much) and explain to them the questions I asked at the beginning! Be very friendly, handshake and smile (dont be creepy though). Try to converse with the interviewer as a friend and be comfortable.

A few that come up often in school interviews:
 - How good are you at making friends?
 - What do you want to be when you grow up?
 - If you could have one wish (That isn't to be accepted to ____), what would it be?
 - What is your favourite genre?
 - What is your opinion on [Insert current affairs controversy here]

Hey, congrats on getting an interview.  I would expect these questions:
 - why do you wanna come to Nossal?
 - what can you give to nossal?
 - tell me about a book that you've read recently (this can be 'rare' but be prepared for this anyway)
 - tell me about your school?  what would you miss most?  what do you like and don't like about your school?
 - what's your best and worst subject?
 - are you studying a LOTE?  would you like to continue that here?

Definitely be prepared for the first two as they are highly like to come up.  I would say for the first one, describe the opportunities nossal has and mention how they will be beneficial academically and for your interpersonal development.  Aaah also - mention this :  'academically challenging environment that will motivate you to strive to the best of your ability'.  For the second one, mention co-cocurricular skills, leadership skills, your attributes that will make you a good 'Nossaler' etc etc.

P.S -  I agree with SKGUN11, there are trick questions such as what do you in your free time?  Don't mention anything like playing games on the computer or watching TV!!  Say things like - I practise my musical instrument, I like reading books etc, mention your hobbies.  This is a great question to throw in your co-curricular activities!!  So tell them that.

You can mention anything you like  . However, say  'intellectual' things about the book.  Eg, if you're doing hunger games then say stuff like Katnis' will to not accept the tyranny of the Capitol is inspiring as it encourages personal rights (lol try to sound natural so it looks like these are your general thoughts about the book)
