Hi,

Anyone here on the dean's list for second year science?
Was just wondering if my average of 85.625 would scrape me a dean's list :P :P

Nothing much for science. You just get a certificate and that's about it. I think there may be a ceremony for other faculties

Last year I got a spot with a WAM of 87 or so for the year - although I think the list is separate year to year.

You get a certificate, a nice letter from the Dean, and it goes on your academic transcript, apparently.

Last year I had around that average and didn't get anything. But it changes every year so you might get on it :)

Edit: Don't worry, should've read better.

And by second year, do you mean second year subjects or level 2 subjects?

If it's second year wouldn't it be unfair if people saved all their level 1 breadths/level 1 subjects for second year?

Just second year subjects from what I gather. It's all strategic ;)) Lvl 1 subjects can be more difficult than level 2 or 3 subjects contrary to the popular belief.

Sorry, stupid question. How do you actually KNOW if you're on the Dean's Honour List? For any Faculty that is...

From what I've heard, you get a letter in the mail.
