Bit confused by the whole under-clearly-in offers.
My atar from 2014 was 98.80, 0.05 under the clearly in of 98.85, and I haven't received a VTAC offer for Melb Uni Biomed (1st pref), only science there (2nd)
It seems strange I didn't get this offer as 38.6% of offers were below the mark (or are these just special seas applicants?), and there seems to be other people who did get it with lower atars than me (I think).

Contacted VTAC, they said talk to Melb Uni. Melb Uni said that they didn't give out offer below the clearly in to non seas etc  people. Now even more confused.
They also said wait til second round.

My question is did I deserve to get a placement or not in the first round?
And what are the chances of a second round offer? (if round 1 offers aren't accepted)

Thanks in advance for your help.

So for first round, the offers went:

Everyone above clearly in (98.85).
Certain people with SEAS below clearly in.

Since you didn't have SEAS you wouldn't have made it in the first round.

However, if there are enough people who don't take the Biomed offer and there are still spots left, you may get a second round offer.

Even if you don't get a second round-offer you're not missing out on too much if you do Science, trust.
