EAL VS ENGLISH??

Hey there!
I need help with figuring out on what to choose for vce eal or mainstream english. i will be attending mainstream english classes so only the exam would differ. I am eligible for it so shall i do it???Im good at english as i am a B student so pretty much above average.Do you guys think is worth doing? would it be easier achieving higher scores or would uni look at me differently if i am an eal student??
