Any tips on writing a really good analysis & evaluation?

Basically as the title says, the written aspects are the only things I lose marks on in SACs and I'm looking for any sort of advice that I could use to improve before the next SAC :) Specifically I may need help in the structure of analysis and evaluation, and what I should be writing about in each section.

Also another question~ can anyone help me to clarify the difference between 2NF and 3NF? I'm not too clear on them.

Thankyou!  :)
