For methods and spesh exam 1's, I've really flown through a couple and gone under 30 mins, but on average, I think I'd take around 40mins, exam 2's are anywhere above about 80mins. For chem and physics, the times vary a lot more, but on average, I think I'd have about 25-30mins left for each. I agree totally with whats been said about missing small mistakes when going through an exam, so my teacher suggested that I just redo as much as I can in the time I have leftover, which has worked pretty well.

For English exams, I always use up all the time making sure to go over my work/planning it and that's how I intend to do the actual one

Methods 1 exams I generally finish in 30 mins and spend the next 30 mins going over work. Sometimes I fix up a few mistakes. I did the 2007 methods 1 exam in 15 mins, but made stacks of mistakes hence why I'll take my time when actually doing it.
Methods 2 exams take anywhere from 60-90 mins

Spesh 1 Exams I've only started doing, but its usually around 30-45 mins. Spesh 2 exams generally take me 90+ mins to do. Last years Spesh 2 exam took me 90 mins to do, I didn't check over it but I only lost 2 marks so I should be good for it

Chem exams, for Unit 3 the trials always took me 1 hour. But with the actual exam, it was about 50 mins on Extended Response, and 10-15 minutes on Multiple Choice.

Generally for all subjects I tend to fly through multiple choice questions and only make a couple of mistakes

I really don't want to sound boastful but from memory I was doing accounting exams in ~60 minutes which didn't really change for the actual one and grabbed myself an A+.

That should start off the discussion :P

what marks did you get in the midyear and end of year exam?

Didn't get a statement of marks as I had no clue what they were back then lol

Both A+, although my gut feeling was i performed worse on the midyear than end of year.
