Unit 3 Language Analysis SAC - Please help!

Hey guys today I had my first of two periods to complete a language analysis sac for unit 3 English. While English is my most strongest subject, language analysis is my weak spot and I am terribly worried. (FYI I need an 85 ATAR so cannot afford to mess anything up)

Two things:

- the first is really minor, but try not to stress too much about SACs; you can 'afford' to make mistakes if you're learning from them, especially since this L.A. SAC will only be worth ~20% of Unit 3, and Unit 3 is less than 1/4 of your overall study score.

- second: where are you at right now with this material? Given that you've had one period on it already, did you manage to write an intro/ body paragraph or anything? Do you feel like you understand the contentions of both pieces? Did you annotate anything? Do you know what you need to analyse? And why are you feeling lost - are you unsure of how to structure your piece? Do you not know what to write, or do you not know how to write it? Be as specific as possible, and it should be much easier to get through this SAC

Thank you so much for you're reply, here's what I've already done:

Introduction: stating the contention, background information, outline, audience, style and tone.

I have managed to annotate what I can in both articles, I have highlighted a few rhetorical questions, anecdotes and evidence but I feel like I am still missing heaps of other persuasive techniques that they contain I just can't find them.

I have written a body paragraph on the irony used by the CEO on how it is too much to ask of a person to not use our phones and how we cannot go without them.

I understand the contention of both pieces, one is for and other is against and they both try to back up their arguments and shed light on the positives and negatives of the situation.

What I'm feeling lost about is finding remaining persuasive techniques, not being sure what to write and structuring it. We only had a week on revision and general studying for this whole topic, our class is really behind as out teacher has been away and as you can tell I am obviously scared and stressing.
