sorry if wrong thread but i was just wondering if we could change our preferences with regards to allowing our study scores to be published?

i signed a form at the start of this year permitting my study scores to be published in the newspaper but have been feeling a little self-conscious lately

how can i change this?

thanks in advance :)

From memory, I got another form at mid-year that listed our preferences for being publish for various things (just so you can verify it/check errors). My form somehow said yes to bring published in the newspaper,  even though I didn't consent it in the original form. I got it fixed up, so it isn't too late to change these things. Just let your VCE co-ordinater know though, as these forms get sent to VCAA later in the year (by then it will be too late to fix it up).

My school automatically lists that we don't want our study scores published (as a result, there are only 3 listed entries of kids getting 40+ study scores for subjects  from last year ::)). Check with your school, but some schools (*cough*mine*cough*) don't allow students to change their minds after having submitted the form.

Study scores are only published in the newspaper if you receive 40+ for said subject AND you have given consent for that to happen. Are you feeling self conscious of the fact that you might get, say, 41 instead of 50? or is it the complete opposite view of that feeling when you check the newspaper and see that you haven't received a study score of 40+ at all?

I would first contact your school's office or VCE coordinator to see if it can be changed. If not, your next best bet would be contact the VCAA directly.
