Module B Essay Structure - Jane Eyre

I have to write two practice essays for my half yearlies on Jane Eyre and I need help on how to structure it for the following questions:

1. "Jane's voice is the source of power the book has to absorb the reader completely into her world" To what extent does your interpretation of Jane Eyre align with this view?

2. In Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte explores the enduring need for individuals to define their role in society. Evaluate this statement in relation to at least ONE individual in Jane Eyre

If anybody can give me any essay plans to help me out I'd highly appreciateee x

Hey there,
Although I won't be giving you essay plans (since you need to shape these ideas to suit your essay), I can suggest a few themes you can explore.
(Note: I'm not doing Jane Eyre but I have read the novel and I just simply adore Mr Rochester lol)

- Ambiguity of Jane's social class (she's an orphan yet she has status)
- Role of religion (Mr Brocklehurst's hipocrasy vs Helen's compassionate/forgiving nature)
- Nature of love (Jane valuing independence e.g. rejecting St John's proposal since he would marry her out of duty not love)

These are some ideas you can explore in your essay- you just need to shape these ideas to suit their question.

Hope this helps!
