Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some people's opinions regarding Monash (Clayton) on-campus accommodation; traditional halls of residence (e.g. Richardson, Roberts, Farrer, Howitt etc.) vs. the new urban community (Logan, Turner, Campbell and Holman). I have ruled out Mannix as it seems very expensive and I'm pretty sure I don't have the financial requirements for Briggs and Jackomos. So I have a few questions:
1. In tradititional halls, how many people people share kitchen and bathroom facilities- is it small groups or entire floors of like 50 people?
2. Is there a traditional hall that is not steroetyped as either a 'party hall' or a 'no social life hall'- is there a good balanced one?
3. In the urban community halls are they all the same thing or are any individual ones better/ worse?
4. Is there any social life in urban community halls or is it difficult to have opportunities to meet new people and make friends?
Thanks for your help!
