I'm currently in year 11, doing unit 4 biology. I finished my last SAC on hominim evolution (and got 92%, yay) and I aggregated all my SAC scores so far:
1. 21/25 - 84% (A)
2. 21/25 - 84% (A)
3. 23/25 - 92% (A+)
4. 21/24 - 84% (A)
5. 24/25 - 96% (A+)
6. 24/25 - 96% (A+)
7. 21/25 - 84% (A)
8. 23/25 - 92% (A+)
Total: 178
According to the 2008 Graded Assessments report released by the VCAA, 178 is in the A+ range for the SACs.
I got an A for the midyear exam (I don't know the percentage), but I applied for a derived score, because I was sick, and my application was accepted. My derived score is based on my SAC scores, GAT score, and end of year exam score.
I'm confident that I will get A+ for the end of year exam. I have a few questions:
1. If I get A+ for the SACs and A+ for the end of year exam (and I assume I did well on the GAT) would the derived score calculated for my midyear exam likely be in the A+ range?
2. If my midyear exam derived score is still an A, and I get A+ for the midyear exam and SAC scores, what would be a good estimation of my study score?
3. Does doing exceptionally well on the end of year exam increase my SAC score?
Any wisdom will be appreciated.
