For those who are unfamiliar with
The Squiggle, you're in for quite a ride haha.
It's basically a visual representation of, mathematically, where each side sits. It's updated live as games are played. Really cool thing. You can also see your team's progress as you go through the rounds. On a basic level, each team's offence is graphed on the vertical axis, and defence on the horizontal axis. If you perform better than expected, or worse than expected, your squiggle is updated accordingly.
As it stands after round eight:
As you can see, only Richmond is really in the premiership zone at the moment. In fact, their defence is rated better than any premiership side listed on the Squiggle - pretty impressive. After them, there's a big clump including Geelong, Port, Sydney, GWS, West Coast, Hawthorn, North and Adelaide (and to a lesser extent, Melbourne). Squiggle really rates Richmond at the moment.
Predicted ladder (on the assumption that nothing changes, which obviously it will):
Painful reading as a Melbourne supporter. Missing finals by <1.0%
again would be, well, quite upsetting haha.
