Bachelor of biomedical science without chemistry

Hey guys
Just wondering whether I have any chance at getting into a bachelor of biomedical science without VCE chemistry, as i understand it is a pre-requisite. Is there a bridging course i could do to get a second round offer or would I have to transfer after my first year doing a BSc?
Also, how dependent is biomedical science on VCE biology and chemistry? Is it possible to do well without a strong previous background in biology and chemistry, or do the subjects start beyond the VCE biology and chemistry courses and assume a strong knowledge in these areas?
Thanks in advance.

I can't answer the more technical side to your question about a bridging course etc. If it is given as a prerequisite on the website, I imagine that will be a hard prerequisite. IF you were able to get into the degree and simply do a bridging course, this would be evident on their website one would assume.

Biomedical science is effectively a degree about biology and to a lesser extent chemistry. Most degrees will give you a fair bit of leeway as far as having a background in these subjects goes; however, you will need to get good at them during your degree to be successful in this area.
