Hey Partinus!
I second the guide that Jamon shared, it was super helpful.
In terms of current progress I can definitely make you feel better.
My ideas are solid and well-researched, I've definitely researched into purpose, form, intended audience and all that stuff.
In regard to composition, I still have a good 5500 words left... so yeah I haven't written much of my first draft. But, I do plan to finish it by the end of these holidays.
I have my literature review due in week 2 next term, and I'm in the same boat as you - I have no idea what it is and how its meant to be structured, but I believe the point is to review literature/parts of our research that impacted our major work with examples from both the text and our writing.
For my structure though I'm doing;
Intro - briefly reinforce my major work idea
Paragraph #1 - A novel which influenced the beginning of my writing
Paragraph #2 - An academic article on said novel that influenced how I saw the novel and in turn my major work
Paragraph #3 - Another novel that influenced a part of my novel
Paragraph #4 - Academic article on the part of my novel that was influenced
Conclusion - sum up and boast I have done lots of research.
Hope this helped!
