R.I.P Bobby Fischer

Bobby Fischer died two days ago, on the 17th of January. And although he may have been controversial he was someone who greatly influenced chess around the world, RIP.

I beat him... nah just kidding. Chess is an interesting sport. I wish I understood it better. It is impossible to read those books with algebraic chess notation. I can't visualise it :(

Yeah I've been talking about this to everyone lately. Nobody seems to understand me. He was great on the board, despite being eccentric and perhaps even insane. He died at the age of 64, the number of squares on a chess board.. RIP Bobby!

coblin - have you ever played against some of those people in the Chess Club back at high school?

Yes. They were good, but I've improved since then. I still made really simple blunders at that stage. Now I don't make blunders unless they are more than 1 turn ahead of me.
