SAC preparation

Hello,

What books are good for SAC preparation besides the ATARNotes Topic Tests (already have them), Checkpoints and ExamPro (I know it's great but its out of stock)?

I have heard of FORTIFY VCE study guides for Methods and the MethodsMadeEasy Question Book from MathsMethods.com.au. How do good are these, in terms of VCAA-style practise questions?

Thank You

Hi Jaysmith,
I personally haven't done methods but it may be worthwhile asking your teacher for a practice sac or some practice questions or perhaps even asking your teacher this question as they would have a good idea about who has used what resources and who has done better.
Hope this helps :)

You could just start going through commercial practice exams but only answering the question that you have learnt so far.
Then come back to the rest of the exam when you have studied the rest.

Provided your school has gotten up to trigonometry and logarithms, you can always use the iTute practice sacs located here: http://www.itute.com/download-free-vce-maths-resources/free-maths-assessment-tasks/
You could also use questions from the free iTute practice exams, however I wouldn't recommend using too many of them as they are the best practice exams by far in terms of learning how to apply concepts to a variety of scenarios.
If your school has access to them, Kilbaha exams are really good practice exams as well in terms of helping with time management.

I can't say how useful the iTute practice sacs but I can say that I felt like doing the itute practice exams were absolutely useless. I thought the extended response questions are way too hard and does not teach you anything about the actual exam, although multiple choice questions are good to do by hand if possible.
