VCE Tutoring 2021: French, Lit, Music Performance and others

Hello everyone! Hopefully you're all enjoying the holidays (aka prep. for Year 12 . . .) Offering tutoring for the subjects listed below, but I would be open to any other requests at both a VCE-level or non-VCE-level. For more information about my subjects/scores, see my signature :D
[all scores are raw]

French [46] - Although French is quite a challenging subject, as any language is, it is one I thoroughly enjoyed. I personally do not come from any sort of French-speaking background - My family is Chinese and I have never been on an exchange program or to visit a francophone country. Consequently, I fully understand the level of commitment and hard work necessary to reach fluency in a foreign language. Additionally, I have been able to find a lot of useful resources/tools for skill-building and have picked up some specific features of the French style of writing or pattern of speech which are unlikely to be taught at school :) I am happy to tutor for all aspects of French (ie. listening, reading, writing, etc.) or even just to have regular conversations in French to improve oral speaking skills.

Lit [40] - Lit is a subject that I am very passionate about. Despite the not-so-outstanding score, I have a thorough understanding of the VCE Lit course, have well-developed analysis skills and have written very well-scoring essays (A+ for GA1 and GA2 and A for GA3). I am happy to send parts of essays or notes if you would like to see a little sample! The texts I studied were: Picnic at Hanging Rock, Only the Animals, Emily Dickinson's Poetry and Shakespeare's Othello.

Music Performance [48] - I have a comprehensive understanding of course requirements, can give detailed preparation and advice for SACs, the written exam, and recital (especially for violinists!) I am especially happy to help with musical theory/aural sections, as someone without perfect pitch ;), and to develop a methodical analysis of unheard music (section A on exam)

Economics [42] - While I did not necessarily excel in the exam, I received A+ for all of my SACs (GA1, 2 and 3) and have a very detailed and thorough understanding of the content and its application in the real world. I was also able to help explain content to friends/classmates when they had questions, which has given me some practice at breaking down concepts, identify the more challenging aspects of the course and how to explain it in different ways!

Offering tutoring online for now, in-person tutoring will unfortunately have to depend on the situation :'(

If you're interested, please email me at [email protected]. Time/payment is completely negotiable!

All the best and hopefully 2021 is a better year for us all!
