How would the intensive English language course work? I mean there are various English language courses and the latter is one of them right? (Correct me if I’m wrong).  But how will it helps you enhance your English skills if it only takes a week or two in learning?

Yes, you're right.  It's about improving your English language skills, not the subject itself.  I'd say it's more suited towards ESL students.
