Can someone please give me a rundown on all the different maths subjects you can do in year eleven and what subjects they lead to in year twelve? Thanks :)

I'm thinking about doing Methods and Spesh for VCE but need to know all the subjects I'll need to do before 3/4s.

Foundation maths -> Further maths
General maths standard -> Further maths
Maths methods -> Maths methods
General maths advanced -> Specialist maths

PI pretty much answered the question.

Please note:
Although "Further maths" is the easiest, but it scales down badly, making one mistake will drop your study score down heaps...

Maths methods is pretty much a standard difficulty subject, if you try hard, you will get good mark for it, guaranteed. It also scales up, so making mistake does not matter as much as in Further maths.

Specialist maths is the hardest math you can do(as a year 12 subject), it scales up a lot.
In my opinion, regardless you are good or bad at math, as long you are willing to try hard, you should do it. You will get more in return(because of the scale up thing).

Hope that helps.
