VCE wiki!

Before the main site launches (I know, I promised Monday but there were complications...), I would appreciate any responsible users of the forum who would be willing to give up their time to volunteer to staff the wiki. Current forum staff: I would like you to dedicate your time to your current duties, but if you feel that you can handle both roles, applications are more than welcome (and will be automatically granted, duh)

Because this is a wiki, I will not be putting ads on it, but it is a part of VCENotes.com and will have the affiliation posted as such. I should note that if the wiki begins to dig into server usage that I might need to recant that statement to fund server upgrades, but for the foreseeable future (I.E. next few months), this will not be a problem.

This wiki will contain general information about the VCE. This will include help articles on subject selection, how the ENTER is calculated, general subject info, history of VCE etc.

Apply here (or, e-mail me @ [email protected]) to be on the staff team and I'll contact you. :)

btw: All wiki staff members will get a new forum here (all to themselves), as well as custom titles to denote their 1337 wikiness. After some initial config and writing has been done, we'll release the wiki to the public.

How do you staff a wiki? *has hardly had any experience with them*

Anyway I may be interested :)

And I remember there was a thread on the other site with ideas for it but I can't find it typically
Edit: found it now

The project is tentitavely named 'The Ultimate Guide to VCE and beyond', and will *hopefully* turn out to be an extensive and invaluable resource for all who are in the process of completing Years 11 and 12 in Victoria.

So far, the document (which will be a pinned thread in the School (VCE) forum), will contain several key sections:

- Choosing the right units
- VCAA Unit regulations
- School Assessed Coursework (SAC) and SAT
- The General Achievement Test (GAT)
- Scaling
- Assessment and Statement of Marks\
- Achievement, motivation, resources and tips
- The ENTER
- VTAC and the tertiary application process

^yes I can't use bbcodes either xD

I think I'd be interested. I've answered so many questions about the VCE and read so much about it that I'm practically an expert on it.

Yeah, Mao it will be called viki. @reg: registered users will, once viki goes PUBLIC, i just need initial staff to get some articles up, and then once they're up they'll do the editing of user-submitted articles of everyone who's registered. :)
