Whats media all about, i did it in year 10 and i loved it, but i didnt do it in year 11. I was wondering if i should do it in year 12, but i have no idea wat the course covers and wat the exams will be like. i would really appreciate it if someone told me. thanks

If you really enjoy Media, i'll say go for it. Media is a subject that doesn't require units 1 and 2 and because you done it last year, i think you have a grasp of it. You mainly do photography, filming and understanding the concepts of films in terms of its production. Its time you made a real movie, not some shit you made in year 10. LOL.

if your good at english you'll be good at media they can go hand in hand in some areas

mind you, media can be extremely boring. the technicle side (i.e film or photography) is only  very minor part of it so don't be fooled. most of the course is studying how films are put together, how the social values of a particular time period are reflected in that of a text, and how the media influences the public... it's a lot of theory and i personally find it very boring, although i loved year 10 media and year 11.. its very, very different.

I find it to be a fun subject. The theory can be a bit dry at times but it's not so bad. And if it's any consolidation, you produce your own production (film, photos, mag etc...) half way during the year which breaks it up. It's fairly easy to pick up at a year 12 level. You may need to do a bit of reading over the holidays but you should be fine. And considering  you've done year 10 media, you know how to handle a camera.

I'd only advise that if you hate english, this probably isn't the best subject for you. Answers need to be written a certain way, you need to use the correct film language etc.

Media is my favourite subject this year and it is the one i expect to do best in but the only issue i find with it is the major production takes up a lot of time and can tend to eat into other subjects. So my advice is to be very prepared and work on a timeline structure

i reakon the major production was piss easy. i finished in like may lolzz.. haven't thought about it since really, except for printing photographys.. but did you do film? cos that would make sense
