Caramel, are you with the herald sun or the age? I subscribed for the hearld sun week end delivery and i think i have to wait 20 days before the newspapers arrive. At monash I can grab a copy of the age, herald sun or the australian and walk out the bookshop. You don't even need to show your subscription card.
The age, sometime near the start of O week so it would be 5.5 weeks now and still waiting :(
When they moved it to the bookshop it took me  a few days to work out where they'd gone XD

out of curiosity, are those tertiary papers any good? Apparently the VCE ones were quite useful according to some mates.

I was thinking to subscribe to one of them since they are quite cheap (my uni does not offer them free)  but I am wondering whether the content is of any quality.

DrowNz, do you go to Melbourne? I know Melbourne has a lot of newspapers come to promote their subscriptions during O-Week. Right now, I think both the Herald Sun and The Age are becoming trash. Teachers and students seem to have a thing for The Age, and I used to as well, but I think it has changed. My friends (and they don't necessarily share my political views) have suggested it has taken a much more populist swing, and I agree. I'm not sure whether I've changed or whether The Age has changed, but nowadays it is not so great to read. Maybe students and teachers still prefer it as a relative thing. However, just because a paper written poorly, it doesn't mean you shouldn't read it. If your heart rate is a bit low, you might want to read stuff that gets you fired up :P.

There are other choices too. The Australian is supposed to be good but I never get my hands on it because I tend to never sign up for anything.

I obviously know *you* get it, because sometimes I move it the long journey from the drive way to the front door for you. xD

It's just the newstand copies of The Age, Herald Sun and/or The Australian...it's just at a MUCH cheaper price.
