Written explanations

Hey,
Does anyone know generally what must be included in a written explanation. I have a vague idea.. like the text type you're writing under. I just need clarification as to what is compulsory and some tips as to writing a good scoring written explanation.

i think it is audience, type of piece and purpose that needs to be outlined.

we did it for one of our context SACs

Not in the exam, but as has been said, some schools get you to do it in SACs, I know we had to!

This was the structure I used

~ Central ideas portrayed in your piece, along with connections to the text. Explanation of characters and where you drew them from.
~ Metalanguage: Structure, form, perspective, names
~ Clear up any possible confusions

...and I can't believe our school requires us to do a written explanation for our expository SAC -.-

No, we could do the written explanation however we wanted, that was just the way I did it.

I meant for each SAC is everyone required to stick to one specific form. Like you have an expository SAC where everyone must write an expository piece, whereas at my school you can write in any form you like, except obviously imaginative for text response.

Depends.

For Creative SAC you can do any form of imaginative. For Point of View you can do any form of persuasive writing. But yeah, for the expository SAC I think we have to write an expository.
