ATAR vs ENTER

Is the ATAR score calculated in the same way as the ENTER score? And is ATAR what it's called this year, or is it still called ENTER for now?

Sorry, I've been "out of the loop" for some time now. :P

Hehe, I wanted to keep it ad-free, nice and clean :). There's been a "Donate" button since last year, and only one person has used it :P

I've got atarcalc.com, should start using it :P

NHS FTW. LOL If only people at NHS knew a former student is the developer of this awesome calculator, you'd be hailed a legend and be mentioned at every school assembly...

So yeah, pretty much thanks for the calculator.

how does the SAC rankings moderate your exam scores?? the higher your ranking the higher your final exam mark??

Official: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/exams/statisticalmoderation/statmod.html

Eriny explained it really well:
A more detailed answer on the calculation of study scores is available here:
http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/exams/statisticalmoderation/statmod.html

More or less, your SAC scores themselves don't go into the computer, your rank relative to the rest of your class goes in. Then, the top exam score gotten by someone in your class will be equivalent to the top SAC score (which might not have been achieved by the same person). You always keep your own exam score. The link above is much more comprehensive and I recommend that anyone who is interested in the VCE read it.

It also makes a good procrastinating tool along with VN.  :)  It can also be an absolute morale booster/crusher at the same time, especially the period between your last exam and D-Day.
