Parallel Story (If thats what it's even called)

Hi, I was looking at writing a short story for an outcome later this week, about a character experiencing a cultural clash (relating to our current text).

I decided that it would be easier to tell the story from two different people, a mother and a daughter, except it would make it alot easier and better if it were possible from the first person view on the story.

The question is though, is it possible to write such a thing with two characters, both from a first person POV?

If I were to do it, how would I go about it?
Could I just swap from character to character each paragraph, and tell the scene from both points of view every second paragraph?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm slowly thinking that this would be a hard task....

Of course it's possible, it's the main narrative device in Enduring Love. So go read that if you want to see how it's done.

I think it would be easier to read and have more impact if you did it in sections rather than alternate paragraphs.
I think, I speak, I act. Therefore... I create my own reality.

I had a friend who did an essay on Identity and Belonging with alternate paragraphs and she got the highest mark in the cohort :) Just depends on how well you deliver it!
