HSC Chemistry

Was just looking at their 2009 exam.  They do it different from us.  They just have the one 3 hour exam by the looks of it.

http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/hsc_exams/hsc2009exams/pdf_doc/2009-hsc-exam-chemistry.pdf

Overall, I reckon they have it piss easy compared to us.  3 hours to do 15 multi choice questions, 11 short answer questions, and 1 extended response module question.

Last years VCAA exam had 20 multi choice and 10 short answer to do in an hour and a half.  We nearly do the same amount of work in half the time as they do!  And they don't have to do NMR or Mass Spec....Where is the fairness lol

Their sciences are ridiculous. They're not science. Physics and chemistry are largely essays about the environment and things like "Write about the impact of transistors on society and your personal life." No joke.

Yeh, I rather VCAA. HSC requires essay writing ><. And I hate to sit in an exam for three hours. It doesnt really matter if its easy or not since it is ranked.

The funny thing is, in nsw you don't have to be coherent.

You don't have to have structure.

You don't have to have grammar.

You don't have to be able to spell.

You can dot point ideas and get full marks.

That's all they care about. I'd LOVE to do nsw stuff.
