In  the text book, it says 'brief burst of low frequency and high amplitude brain waves'
then in the VCAA report, it clearly says one single brain wave

VCAA
• K-complexes – a single low frequency, high amplitude brain wave
• Sleep spindles – brief bursts of higher frequency brain waves

so which one is it? or does it matter?
