we just finished the film and it's part of our holiday homework but i'm not really sure how to answer this question. I'm not so good at context and we won't be discussing themes in the player until next term. any help is appreciated

Basically it says that a certain type of reality can become all-consuming, especially if it is the more "convenient" one.  Observe how Griffin's "Hollywood" perception of reality eventually overcomes everything else - he ends up with his (exaggerated) happy ending where he gets off scot-free, has a loving wife and a child.  Also notice how all the non-Hollywood reality people end up broken or otherwise converted.
