heyy guys I've got this creative writing task to do for my English teacher by Monday  >:(

She gave me a prompt based on conflict: " where humans are concerned conflict is inevitable" and she advise me to write something creative like a memoir, short-stories and what not in relation to t book.

Any Ideas? and like if I wanted to do a memoir or monologue how do I go about doing it? :S

Thanks Heaps :D

The obvious thing to focus on with a prompt like that is the perpetual state of war in Afghanistan. Najaf mentions a couple of times how there is always war in Afghanistan, just with different parties involved.

Another direction you could take it is in reference to the conflict Najaf has with the immigration authorities upon arrival in Australia, by saying something about how there is always distrust, and hence conflict, between people from different places/backgrounds.

Seeing as the book itself is a memoir, if you wanted to do a memoir yourself you would really want to copy the style of the book. You could write from the point of view of an ordinary Afghani (like Najaf) or from a different perspective, such as a participant in the fighting explaining why he feels he must fight (and hence why conflict is inevitable). That would also work as a monologue.

Just some ideas, there is really a lot of scope for different methods of doing this.
