Would, for example a few B's and C's in a certain subject like Chemistry Units 1/2 (Year 11) potentially jeopardise a students' chances in enrolling into an interstate Medicine course or an undergrad med. course?

Thanks!

mate . just to clarify
my friend failed year 11 ( but he did some yr 11 subs in yr 10 and so didnt fail vce)
but he wanted to do AFL .. so he gave up on school . pretty much failing
then didnt get into the AFL under 18's predraft training squad . so he gave up on the dream and went to study.
hes doing med at monash i think now.

Really wanna get into undergrad Monash; that's my first preference.
2nd would either be the graduate med course at Monash Gippsland, or going interstate to Adelaide/Sydney etc.
I'm only in year 11 so mmm..
It's just; all across the board, i'm a quite...proficient, you could say, student; A+'s in English, Methods, GMA, Chinese 3/4. But I really haven't been spending much time in both Chem and Physics; only getting A's/B+'s in Physics and B+'s/B's in Chem. Really disappointed with them :(

to be honest buddy
just try your best to grasp a concept of the material in yr11. and with some hard study . u will dominate yr12

i dont wanna sound " bragging/boasting"
however .. dude .. i was getting 50-60% for chem /bio / physics /psych last yr11 last yr ..

this year
chem avearge 97.5% .. psych 100% .. bio 100%
yes i am studying really hard ... but .. i pretty much failed last year

just grasp a good knowledge on the concepts
u will ace yr 12

keep up the good work my friend
:)
goodluck

Year 11 wont even matter at ALLL... seriuosly the uni looks at three things (usually three things)

atar
umat
interview

You gotta be good at all three. You can have perfect atar and umat and u can still miss out on a place with a shit interview. But then again you can get into unis that dont have interveiws.

byut anyway year 11 dont amtter

I would put the value at approximately 0.

Put in the hard yards next year.
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.
