Hey hey.

Just got back from a study camp with my school and we had a seminar about memory, time management and studying in relation to exams with a group called Elevate.

Has anybody got any experience with them, thoughts/opinions?

Yeah, we had them come in both year 11 and 12 to talk to us about similar things. They weren't too bad, how much information you take away generally depended on who the presenter was.

In year 11 I had a fairly interesting presenter, who provided us with information, statistics and read to us some of the published examples of worst responses to english prompts etc. It was fairly reassuring..

Whereas in year 12 it was fairly boring, a bit too general and not particuarly interesting.

yeh they actually came twice to us this year as im in year 10....
one was about how to manage time and fit everything you want into the week
and the other was about study techniques and so on...

i agree with what sgeorge that the presenter helped alot! i think we had a young guy james or something along those lines but he was really good as we were in year 10 none of us had experianced it and you hear al these stories of how hard/stressful/life consuming VCE is he just gave us assurance it isnt and i think motivated some of us to become ready for next year...


but a very good presentation and worthwhile i thought
