Why not do straight commerce and just try to transfer each year? At least you are making progress on your degree, you get to see whether you like the subjects or not etc.

I think if you get a HD average you can transfer internally into law without too much trouble. A lot of people I know transferred into law second year. Also if you work as hard as you'd have to work doing another year of year 12, you really shouldn't have that much trouble getting a HD average on the first year commerce subjects...

Yeah, like i said before probably not a good idea to repeat unless you really want to, lynt sums it up rather well.

I'd just go to uni if i were you, forget about repeating waste of time

Straight commerce at UoM? Isn't external transfer harder then internal transfer? Also, if I apply for Monash the 95+ rule for me to enter still applies.

But yeah, I'll just see how. Thanks a lot guys =]

Okay so it seems you're worried about not being able to get a 95 ATAR. However look at it this way, you now know what type of ATAR score you need, hence now is the time to put in all the effort such that you can get that score. Who cares what sac scores you got, the biggest influence on your score will be your exams. You've got one whole month before exams start. Use it wisely, spend this whole month studying incredibly hard and you'll save yourself that extra year of study. You'll enjoy uni much more than year 12 because it's specialised to what you like plus the lifestyle is quite fun at times.

Oh yeah one more thing...

This year, I've been aiming to become an accountant or anything in the commerce field, but is it really what I want to become? Or is it just the fact I don't have other choice because i'm not doing any sciences?

If I repeat and do physics, I'm pretty much guarantee to get into science @ Melbourne as I only need to meet the prerequisite. (Unless I screw up my end of year exams REALLY badly, in that case, I might as well repeat..)

Anyway Syao don't repeat, just do commerce @ Monash and transfer to commerce/law in the second year. :P
Hmm, well I'm just going to wait and see till the end of the year.

But if you don't think that becoming an accountant is what you want, why don't you just go into uni, and then apply for a transfer?
