Text Response - Words per paragraph?

How many words per body paragraph should an 8-10 essay be aiming for? I was thinking maybe ~300 words in order to cover depth? Although that would make the body paragraphs 900 words, meaning the essay would be around 1000 words in total, which seems a bit much.

depends on how you structure your essay and how much you can write in an hour...

I've seen people on this forum with anywhere up to 5 or 6 body paragraphs each at 150-200 words.

I usually stick at 3-4 paragraphs depending on the topic. ~250 words each

Again, its really a question you can only answer your self.

Hi Aqualim,

I would recommend around 250-300 words per body paragraph- frankly in the time frame you have available, it'll be too much to write if you go beyond 300 and you'll end up with an unfinished piece, commonly. Unless you are somehow related to VCENotes God; EvangelionZeta.
